The following solution will instruct you on how to address the M999 error (Max/Min Temperature Error) on the Leapfrog Xeed 2015
When the M999 error appears on the Xeed printer you need to follow the steps presented below:
1. Make sure to check the connections for the thermistors of the extruders(see the pictures below) and see if the thermistors are reading the ambient room temperature before you heat up the extruders:
2. If the thermistors are connected, the next step is to heat up each extruder one at a time and see if when the right extruder heats up the temperature reading is done on the correct thermistor.
3. Also something to check is the integrity of the wires of the thermistors along with the heat cartridge wires for any damage (see the picture below as a example of damaged wires):
The last case can happen only if you remove the spiral protection tube from the heat cartridge and themistor wires and start printing. ( For example you replace the hot ends and forget to attach the spiral tube.)
