The Xeed 2015 comes with two preheat temperature preset options programmed in the Temperature Tab: ABS and PLA

This solution shows you how you can add more.

NOTE: These are only PREHEAT settings. It's important to remember that you still need to assign Temperature Settings in the slicing software (Materialise, Simplify3D, etc.) so that your .GCODE file will tell the printer to maintain certain set temperatures throughout the print.

You will need:

  • Keyboard with USB connection
  • Knowledge of the recommended temperature settings for the filament type that you want to add.

STEP 1: Connect the Keyboard into one of the USB connection slots at the back of the Xeed printer.

STEP 2: Turn on the Xeed, and let it load to the main menu.

STEP 3: Click the Settings button at the top right.

STEP 4: Find "Temperatures" in the left-hand menu under the Printer Section:

STEP 5: Click the + (plus) button under the Temperature Presets section:

STEP 6: Enter a name for the present - typically, you want this to be the name of the filament that you are preheating the printer to (for this example, I've created a preset for Nylon):

STEP 7: Enter the recommended extruder (preheat) temperature in the Extruder field:

STEP 8: Enter the recommended heat bed (preheat) temperature in the Bed field:

STEP 9: Add more presents, if you'd like.

STEP 10: You can delete unused presents by clicking the red trash can button next to the preset. You can also edit current presets by clicking on the field that you would like to change and typing in the new value.

STEP 11: When you are all done, don't forget to click the Save button in the lower right corner:
